128 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when he received the task force report on seafarer training and employment; when the report was distributed; and when the report was laid before Dáil Éireann. [26072/98]
The report of the task force on seafarer training and employment was made public on 19 October 1998 when it was presented to me by the chairman of the task force. I have furnished the Deputy with a copy of the report. The report was widely covered in the media and was welcomed by all the sectors concerned. Copies are available from my Department for anyone who is interested.
