221 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make available a remedial teacher on an ex-quota basis to St. Colman's College, Claremorris, County Mayo, in view of the urgent need for increased remedial provision [22450/98]
I am sure the Deputy will appreciate there are many competing demands for increased funding in all sectors of education. These demands must be considered in light of overall fiscal policy.
The position will be kept under review and St. Colman's College will be considered when next it is possible to allocate additional ex-quota remedial posts.
