Written Answers - Proposed Legislation.
My Department is currently engaged in the preparation of regulations under the European Communities Act to transpose Directive 98/10/EC, which deals with voice telephony and universal service, into Irish law. It is expected that the draft regulations will be ready before the end of this year for transmission to the Attorney General for settling by the parliamentary draftsman.
