Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Care Funding.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

633 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide details of 1998 and 1999 funding to the Cork social and education project; and if he will ensure that funding is kept at a level which will enable the project's valuable work to continue. [2267/99]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of health services in the Cork area is a matter for the Southern Health Board in the first instance. I understand from the board that discussions are ongoing with the project regarding the level of support for 1998 and 1999. I have asked the chief executive officer to respond directly to the Deputy when these discussions have concluded.
