The above data includes an estimated number of children placed in hospital beds in the Eastern Health Board area for the years 1995 to 1997 inclusive and also includes some children admitted to hospital on medical grounds who remained in hospital for a short time after discharge due to the immediate unavailability of appropriate placements.
