223 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the number, description and identity of contracts, consultancies or disbursements entered into, awarded or approved by his Department since coming into office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2658/99]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy):

I am taking the word disbursements to mean all payments made by my Department. As my Department makes thousands of payments annually I am not in a position to provide the Deputy with the details of all such payments.

It is assumed that the information sought by the Deputy does not extend to contracts of employment of the Department's personnel.

The details in relation to contracts and consultancies approved by my Department since I came into office are as follows:
