330 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the number and identity of persons appointed by him to various boards, agencies or executives since coming into office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2649/99]
Since taking office, I have made four appointments to the Board of Bord Fáilte and to the Council of CERT as follows:
Bord Fáilte
Mr. Noel McGinley, Mr. Maurice O'Donoghue, Mr. Jimmy Somers, Ms Maureen Cairnduff and Mr. Noel O'Callaghan.
CERTMr. Jim Nugent (replaced by Mr. Eamon McKeon), Dr. David Doherty, Mr. Benny Reid, Mr. Jarleth Killilea, Mr. John Horan, Mr. P. J. Sheridan, Ms. Breda Ryan, Mr. Clifford Kelly, Ms Helen Cuddihy, Ms Jean Crossan, Ms Mary McKeon, Ms Noreen Doran-O'Reilly, Ms Mary Fitzgerald, Mrs. Kay Caball, Mr. Norman Croke (replaced by Mr. Frank O'Malley), Mr. Brian Muldoon and Mr. Frank Fell. In addition, I have appointed six persons to my Department as follows: Mr. Gerard Howlin (Special Adviser), Ms Patricia McCarry (Personal Secretary), Ms Sinead O'Boyle who was subsequently replaced by Ms Louise Curran (Personal Assistant), Mr. Bart Cronin (Press Officer) and Mr. Pádraig Ó hUiginn (appointed by me as consultant, under contract, to advise me on policy aspects relating to the work of my Department).
