205 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a decision has been arrived at regarding the application of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo for a pension under the early retirement scheme in view of the fact that a decision was promised early in December 1998. [2721/99]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

I had hoped that a decision could have been made in this case last December. However, at a late stage in the approval process a further complication emerged which had to be examined. A decision in the case will be made in the next week.
