Question:

133 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the measures, if any, she has taken or will take to offer training places to unemployed persons over the next 12 months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4432/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 127, 130, 131 and 133 together.

The provision and filling of places on training courses and community employment projects are day-to-day operational matters for FÁS. I have no function in these matters.

I have, however, asked FÁS to reply directly to the Deputy regarding the information he seeks.
