81 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details of the purpose and cost of any research on public opinion undertaken in his Department in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4676/99]
The views of my Department's customers and clients on the services we provide are generally obtained through the normal consultative processes. In addition, in 1998 my Department paid £2,280 to a research student as a contribution towards postgraduate research into the quality of services provided at local departmental offices.
