Question:286 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Finance if a drain which runs alongside land belonging to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be cleared in view of the fact it is causing serious flooding. [5148/99]
Written Answers. - Flood Relief.
The position has not changed since my reply to a similar question answered on 15 December 1998. The drain in the land of the person in question was cleaned in 1997 while the drain downstream of his holding was cleaned in 1998. The drains are not, therefore, in need of cleaning at this time.
