Vol. 501 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

127 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will qualify for a fodder grant under the revised scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5477/99]

The person named will not qualify for the winter fodder scheme 1999 as his milk quota is in excess of the 35,000 gallon limit. He did not apply for 1998 suckler cow premium and while he did apply for 1998 ewe premium he does not hold a ewe premium quota. If he wishes to be considered under the special fodder hardship scheme 1999, he should contact his local Teagasc office for an application form and general conditions. It is open to him to submit an application if he meets the conditions.

Question:

128 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a 1998 suckler cow grant and headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5478/99]

The area aid application for the person concerned has been processed. However, the applicant sought to include additional land on the application but this could not be facilitated as no map was received. The person concerned has been requested to forward a map for the land in question following which his application will be finalised.

Question:

129 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when extensification and other payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5479/99]

In order for premium including extensification to be paid to a herd owner, a valid area aid application must be submitted. No area aid application was received from the person concerned.
