Vol. 501 No. 3

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Policy.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

207 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, the Government has for the decentralisation of State agencies to Dungarvan, County Waterford (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6184/99]

The position is that the current programme of decentralisation has yet to be completed and there is no decision to extend it to any further centres. However, I am at present considering the many issues relevant to decentralisation policy and I propose to discuss these with my colleagues in Government in the near future.
