Written Answers. - Capital Grants.
The total amounts of capital grants paid by my Department to the Midland Health Board in the period 1989 to 1998 for the purpose of financing capital expenditure at the general hospitals mentioned by the Deputy are set out in the following statement.
These figures do not include the expenditure of capital grants made available to the board in respect of fire precautions, equipment and maintenance works generally, because a breakdown by institution of the general funding involved is not available in the Department.
