Vol. 501 No. 3

Written Answers. - Home-School Liaison Scheme.

Dick Spring

Question:

377 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will immediately sanction the appointment of a home school liaison co-ordinator at the Central national school, Ballyduff, Tralee, County Kerry. [6180/99]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that arrangements are currently being made by my Department to extend the home-school-community liaison service to all first and second level schools which have disadvantaged area status.

This extension of the service will come into effect from September next and will include the school to which the Deputy refers.
