The average GDP per head for the years 1994 to 1996, at factor cost, for the four contiguous groups of counties specified are given as follows. These are also shown as a percentage of the State average and the EU average. In compiling the latter the figure of 95 per cent, which is the figure published by EUROSTAT, has been used as the ratio of the state average GDP per head to the EU average GDP per head – in purchasing power standards – for the years 1994 to 1996.
