107 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans, if any, he has to address the difficulties encountered and the variation in approach by different local authorities with regard to applications for planning permission to provide child care services in residential areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have received representations from the National Children's Nurseries Association concerning planning permission for child care facilities and will consider their representations in the context of the interdepartmental committee which has recently commenced work on a White Paper on a national child care strategy. The White Paper will address all issues in relation to the provision of child care facilities.
