121 Mr. Power asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the progress, if any, made in relation to the provision of alternative water supply for County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6432/99]

A water strategy report for County Kildare has been commissioned by the local authority and any proposals to my Department emanating from it will be considered in due course.
