Vol. 501 No. 4

Order of Business (Resumed).

The Ceann Comhairle cannot ignore this side of the House.

I have ruled that the Chair has sole discretion on the number of questions allowed on the Order of Business. A number of Members offered and I pointed out that some of the questions were not in order on the Order of Business. Deputy Quinn in particular had a good innings on the Order of Business and is in no position to complain.

I am complaining on behalf of my colleagues. This is not a solo run.

I have ruled that the Chair has sole discretion on the number of questions on the Order of Business.

Why will the Chair not exercise its discretion on this matter?

It is almost 10.55 a.m. The Chair has ruled.

This is very unsatisfactory.

The Deputy is being disorderly.
