Vol. 501 No. 4

Written Answers. - Road Traffic Regulations.

Alan M. Dukes

Question:

45 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his views on whether the regulations governing the lighting of towed trailers are in need of modification; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6110/99]

I have had no representations from the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the Garda Síochána as enforcement authority, or other interests indicating the need for a modification of the road traffic regulations relating to the lighting of towed trailers. The question of enforcement is of course a matter for the Garda Síochána.
