Question:

117 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the most recent crime figures in each Garda division area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6509/99]

Crime statistics are published in the Annual Reports of An Garda Síochána, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The reports contain information on a national, regional and divisional basis. The most recent annual report details the crime statistics for 1997.

The annual report for 1998 will be published later this year. Provisional statistics for each division in 1998 are set out below.
