232 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the application for a new 50-bed unit at Leopardstown Hospital, Dublin 18; the date for sanction; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6768/99]
This proposal was made by the hospital authorities on the basis that they would provide approximately half the cost from a combination of trusts and funds to which the hospital has access. I have agreed to set aside the other 50 per cent from my Department's capital funding allocation and am awaiting confirmation that the balance will be forthcoming.
