Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy McGinley – the inconvenience caused to the people of west Donegal since the abolition of District Court sittings in Dunfanaghy, Falcarragh, Bunbeg and Dungloe; (2) Deputy Hayes – the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to address the fact that over 80 per cent of landlords operating within the private rented sector have yet to register with their local authority; (3) Deputy Neville – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to complete major structural refurbishment of Kilfinane primary school; (4) Deputy Moloney – the need to provide a rehabilitation unit for the elderly population of Laois-Offaly at St. Vincent's Hospital, Mountmellick, County Laois; (5) Deputy Shatter – the implementation of the recommendations of the working group on qualification for appointment of judges of the High and Supreme Courts; (6) Deputy Stanton – the need to offer students who suffer a crisis, such as bereavement, during or just before their leaving certificate examination the opportunity to repeat in July or August of the same year; (7) Deputy Farrelly – the action to be taken to alleviate the overcrowding experienced by commuters on trains from Drogheda to Dublin; (8) Deputy Coveney – the need to make funds available to ensure that Carrigaline, County Cork, continues to have a District Court; (9) Deputy Finucane – the need to institute an inquiry into the dismissal of a person (details supplied) from the Garda Síochána in 1928; (10) Deputy McGrath – the need for additional capital expenditure at Longford-Westmeath hospital in Mullingar; (11) Deputy Creed – the need to provide urgent financial assistance to enable the completion of a family resource and child care centre in Charleville, County Cork.

The matters raised by Deputies Moloney, McGrath, McGinley and Finucane have been selected for discussion.
