Seán Barrett
Question:147 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the only free paper recycling scheme in Dun Laoghaire is run by a supermarket; the plans, if any, he has to deter the use of landfills and to encourage the provision and use of paper recycling facilities through appropriate and enforceable legislation in view of the fact Ireland is the second worst recycler in the EU, the increasing public concern for sustainable development and the fall in wood pulp prices.
