Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - Passports for Investment Scheme.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

548 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the steps, if any, he has taken to ascertain from current office holders whether they gave advice to the then Minister for Justice between 1988 and 1994 in accordance with paragraph (b) of the statement of intent in respect of the passports for investment scheme or if they supported an application for citizenship under this scheme; and, if not, the reason therefor. [8311/99]

As I have already informed the Deputy in my response to Question No. 334 of 2 March, I will write to him and let him have information about advice given by Ministers of the Government under paragraph (b) of the statement of intent, when my Department's files are returned by the Moriarty tribunal.
