Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

614 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide a breakdown of all national lottery funding allocated by his Department in 1998; the individual bodies to which funds were allocated; the amount in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7928/99]

The breakdown of national lottery funded expenditure by my Department in 1998 based on provisional outturn figures is as follows:

£million

Irish Language

2.392

Arts and Culture

7.945

Youth

13.329

Details of specific projects grant aided by my Department for national lottery funds are published in the annual appropriation accounts.
The amount of time required to provide full details of all projects that have been funded in 1998 would be inordinate. I would be glad, however, to provide full details of any project in which the Deputy has a specific interest.
