Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Keaveney – the announcement of the closure of the Fingal factory, Moville, County Donegal, and the urgent need for job creation measures to be implemented in the Inishowen area; (2) Deputy Sargent – the policy of the Government in relation to the advisability or otherwise of allowing an extra gas pipe line between Britain and the Fingal coastline in Dublin; (3) Deputy Moynihan-Cronin – the need for the Government to establish a jobs task force and development plan for Killarney, particularly in light of the 50 job losses at the Transmould plant; (4) Deputy Connaughton – the ordeal of a 78 year-old north Galway woman admitted to the county hospital in Roscommon on Tuesday, 16 March 1999; (5) Deputy Finucane – the provision of extra classrooms and other facilities at the national fisheries training centre at Greencastle, County Donegal and (6) Deputy O'Shea – the need for a Government commitment to the development of a University in Waterford.

The matters raised by Deputies Moynihan-Cronin, Sargent, Connaughton and O'Shea have been selected for discussion.
