Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

158 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when ewe and suckler cow premia will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. [9073/99]

The area aid application for the person concerned has been processed. However, the applicant sought to include additional land on the application but this could not be facilitated as no map had been received. Following notification of this to the above named by my Department, a map was subsequently received. Processing has now been finalised and any outstanding payments will issue as soon as possible.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

159 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay with payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry. [9074/99]

The person named made two applications, one ten month and one 22 month, for special beef premium on 15 May 1998 and received advance payments – 80 per cent – on 19 October and 20 October in respect of all animals. Balancing payments under the special beef premium scheme cannot commence until all 1998 ten month applications have been examined and processed and the position of Ireland's national beef premium quota is determined.

Ivan Yates

Question:

160 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when special beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if payment will be expedited in view of the fact that he has submitted all the necessary information in relation to forage area and maps. [9081/99]

A query regarding an overclaim on the area aid application of the person named arose. The person named was contacted about the overclaim and subsequently his area aid application was processed. Any outstanding premia payments due to the person named will issue as soon as possible.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

161 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when fodder allowance will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [9082/99]

The person named did not lodge an application under the 1998 suckler cow premium, ewe premium or sheep headage schemes, did not hold a milk quota on 1 April 1998 and has not submitted an application for the 1999 special fodder hardship scheme. Therefore, he does not qualify for assistance under either the 1998 or 1999 winter fodder schemes.
