Vol. 502 No. 6

Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.

John Browne

Question:

220 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay by the South-Eastern Health Board in paying a pension to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who was retired by the board in June 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9085/99]

The decision regarding award of a pension to the person named by the Deputy is the responsibility of the employing agency, namely the South-Eastern Health Board. I have, however, asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate this case and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
