Future intake and output requirements in primary teacher training are the subject of ongoing review between my Department, the colleges and the Higher Education Authority. The need for another primary teacher training course for university graduates will be considered in that context.
I can, however, confirm that it is my intention to maintain a significant intake into the colleges in order to fully address the issue of teacher supply.
