Vol. 503 No. 1

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Seán Power

Question:

82 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Defence if he will assist an application from Gaelscoil Chill Dara to build a new school at Lumville, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9298/99]

The position is that the future management and development of the Curragh is currently being considered by an interdepartmental task force having regard to the immense archaeological, cultural, environmental and historical significance of the area. The request for access on to the Curragh Plains from the proposed school site at Lumville will be considered in the context of the report of the task force which, I understand, will be presented shortly.
