Vol. 503 No. 2

Written Answers. - Army Lands.

Alan M. Dukes

Question:

87 Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for Defence if he will grant Gaelscoil Chill Dara access to an existing road on the Curragh to the school's proposed new site at Lumville, the Curragh; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9206/99]

The position is that the future management and development of the Curragh is currently being considered by an interdepartmental task force having regard to the immense archaeological, cultural, environmental and historical significance of the area. The request for access onto the Curragh Plains from the proposed school site at Lumville will be considered in the context of the report of the task force which, I understand, will be presented shortly.
