433 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if funding will be granted to community groups (details supplied) in County Sligo; the amount of funds which will be granted; when funds will be put in place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10076/99]
I am aware that all of the groups referred to in the Deputy's question, have applied for funding under the 1999 scheme of grants for locally-based community and family support groups.
As I am sure the Deputy can appreciate, processing of these applications will take some time, but my Department will be in touch with each of the groups concerned as soon as a decision has been made regarding their applications.
I have been informed by my regional office that acknowledgments of receipt of applications have issued to all of the groups concerned.
