Vol. 503 No. 3

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Jan O'Sullivan

Question:

476 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress, if any, made regarding the provision of a new Garda station to replace the old Mary Street station in Limerick city; if a location within the St. Mary's area has been agreed with the local authority; if so, the time scale involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9792/99]

It is proposed to build a new Garda station on the existing site at Mary Street. The Office of Public Works has just recently produced a sketch scheme of the proposed development. It is not possible to say at this stage when the project might commence, as it is still at an early stage of planning.
