537 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science if further to Parliamentary Question No. 369 of 2 March 1999, a person (details supplied) will be allowed to change her examination centre for her leaving certificate in view of the tremendous pressure she is under and taking into consideration the medical evidence provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The general position on requests for changes of examination centres was outlined to the Deputy at Parliamentary Question No. 369 answered on 2 March 1999.

In cases of this type it is necessary for the school responsible for the student's examination entry to engage with the Department in relation to the individual circumstances of the student. This has not happened to date in this case.
