Question:542 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 345 of 2 February 1999, the process, if any, in respect of the provision of home tuition for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9645/99]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 541 and 542 together.
I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers. The child in question is one of a number of special needs children attending Scoil San Carlo junior school in respect of whom special teaching and child care support has been sought from my Department.
My Department's inspectorate have recently submitted a report on this situation and it is likely that a decision will be taken in the near future.
