547 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if the successful youthstart initiative pathways through education in three disadvantaged schools in Dublin will be resourced to continue beyond its official closing date of December 1999. [9665/99]
My Department is co-operating closely with the youthstart national support structure to ensure that the lessons learned from youthstart projects are mainstreamed where appropriate and incorporated into ongoing policy and practice.
The continuation of the pathways to education projects will be examined in the light of the feedback from the evaluation of the project and the resources available nationally for initiatives of this nature.
