598 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if a pay claim to general operatives employed by vocational education committees, (details supplied), will be honoured in view of the fact that general operatives in other sectors have already been paid. [10127/99]

My Department has been in contact with the unions involved and has arranged a meeting to progress this pay claim.
