Written Answers. - UN Year of the Elderly.
In response to the Deputy's query, my Department has no specific function in this area. However, it is my intention to encourage all involved in the marine leisure sector to work, particularly during the UN Year of the Elderly, to increase participation by older people in marine and forestry recreational pursuits, some of which are eminently suitable for people of all ages.
