Vol. 503 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Conor Lenihan

Question:

157 Mr. C. Lenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 was placed on an urgent waiting list in August 1998 by the Tallaght Hospital but was taken off that list in February 1999 with no change in her condition. [10712/99]

The provision of treatment in this case is the responsibility, in the first instance, of the Adelaide and Meath Hospital Dublin, incorporating the National Children's Hospital. I have therefore, asked the hospital authorities to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

158 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 cannot be given a date for surgery; and if sufficient resources will be provided in view of his serious condition in order that treatment will be provided immediately. [10713/99]

The provision of treatment in this case, in the first instance, is the responsibility of St James's Hospital. I have therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
