Vol. 503 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

135 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a fodder allowance will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [11044/99]

The person named held a milk quota and was in active milk production in 1998. His winter fodder scheme grants based on his milk quota have already issued to his co-op. for payment with his April 1999 milk cheque.

He did not apply for grants under the 1998 suckler cow or ewe premium schemes and does not, therefore, qualify for winter fodder scheme grants under these areas of the scheme.

Austin Deasy

Question:

136 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in issuing a balancing payment of sheep headage to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment will issue. [11045/99]

A query arose regarding the identification of a commonage claimed on the area aid application of the person named. A letter issued to him regarding the commonage and his entitlement to claim on it. This matter has now been resolved and any outstanding payments will issue as soon as possible.
