110 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the discussions, if any, he has had with his Canadian counterpart regarding the exchange or mutual recognition of Irish and Canadian driving licences. [11122/99]

I refer to the reply to Question No. 584 of 30 September 1998. The position is unchanged and the matter has not been raised since in the context of discussions between my Department and the relevant Canadian authorities.
