80 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of area aid application forms outstanding on the closing date of 23 April 1999; and the steps, if any, he is taking to get in the outstanding applications. [10893/99]
Over 132,700 pre-printed 1999 area aid application forms issued to herdowners who had submitted an application in 1998. Until all of the applications received by 23 April 1999 have been registered, it is not possible to say how many pre-printed applications were not returned, or indeed the number of herdowners who have submitted an area aid application for the first time in 1999.
