Question:

144 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the balance of a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [11373/99]

It is expected that balancing payments under the 1998 special beef premium scheme will commence within the next few weeks.

Michael Ring

Question:

145 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1998 headage and premia in view of the fact that he re-submitted his maps as requested but the maps were subsequently lost by the Department. [11378/99]

Following processing of the area claimed by the above named on his 1998 area aid application form, an overclaim was determined. The applicant was then afforded another opportunity to confirm that the area claimed was fully reflected in the area determined. Maps issued in this connection have subsequently been returned by the applicant, and are currently being processed by the area aid unit. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible after the completion of processing.
