148 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway under the TB eradication and the hardship compensation schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11427/99]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

Grants due to the person named under the TB eradication scheme will issue shortly. Payment under the hardship scheme for the periods 27 March 1999 to 26 April 1999 and 27 April 1999 to 30 April 1999 are currently being processed and payment will issue in due course.
