238 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will sanction the compulsory purchase order on land necessary for the construction of the new sewage treatment plant at the Murrough in Wicklow which has been ready for sanction since January 1999; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Consideration of the compulsory purchase order referred to has reached an advanced stage, following its processing through various stages by my Department. There will be no avoidable delay on my part in determining the issue of whether the order should be confirmed.
