281 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 463 of 20 April 1999 when a review will take place relating to the changes, if any, planned in the legislation which may impact on the law in relation to next of kin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have nothing further to add to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 463 of 20 April 1999 when I indicated that, while there are no proposals at present to introduce any changes in this area of the law, it is kept under review. Such a review, of its nature, is ongoing and the question of giving a precise date for its inception does not arise.
