50 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when approval will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath in relation to his continued participation in the scheme of early retirement from farming; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11840/99]

My Department is taking legal advice in relation to matters that are pertinent to this case and a decision on the approval of the transfer of the lands will be taken when the advice is received.
