Vol. 504 No. 5

Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

162 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the service, if any, he will provide for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who has dyslexia; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12404/99]

The needs of the pupil to whom the Deputy refers have not previously been brought to my Department's attention.

I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate this pupil's needs as soon as possible with a view to determining what, if any, additional educational supports are required.
