Question:43 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the status of the review of the structures and organisation of the inland fisheries which he announced in December 1997. [12360/99]
Written Answers. - Inland Fisheries.
The review is currently being completed in the Department for my consideration. I will be bringing forward proposals for Government shortly on the legislative and organisational change needed to enhance and modernise the structures and operations of the central and regional fisheries boards, to clarify their respective statutory remits and to ensure more effective, efficient and accountable inland fisheries service at regional and national level.
